Am 30. Oktober findet die letzte Ruine in der Companion-Reihe statt. Dazu laden wir dich gerne ein!
Die Ruine beginnt um 16.58 Uhr mit Anbruch der Dämmerung und wird bis 24.00 Uhr dauern. Veranstaltungsorte sind die Bäuche der Anwesenden, der Companion ist die Verdauung. Der genaue Treffpunkt und das Passwort werden noch bekannt gegeben.
Wir haben Paula Erstmann eingeladen, die sich mit ihrer Arbeit irgendwo zwischen Kunst, Gestaltung und Kochen bewegt. Sie wird für diesen Anlass folgendes (vegetarisches) Menü zusammenstellen:

Die einzelnen Gänge werden den Abend strukturieren, der durch verschiedenen Gesten, Strategien und Figuren des Gastgebens bestimmt wird. Das Gastgeben hat während Ruine München Companions eine wichtige Rolle gespielt, an diesem Abend wird es im Mittelpunkt stehen.
Um einen Platz zu reservieren, bitten wir dich um eine verbindliche Anmeldung bis Freitag, 20. Oktober, unter Angabe deiner Telefonnummer. Bitte beachte, dass der Abend als zusammenhängende Arbeit geplant ist. Es ist deshalb wichtig, dass alle Gäste gemeinsam ankommen. Die Teilnahme ist begrenzt und nur mit Anmeldung möglich.

Paula Erstmann ist Künstlerin, die vorwiegend mit Lebensmitteln als künstlerischem Medium arbeitet. Ihre Performances, Menüs und Essens-Installationen verhandeln die gesellschaftlichen Kontexte der verwendeten Nahrungsmittel und sind künstlerische Forschungsarbeiten zwischen Kunst und Alltäglichem. Die kulinarische Arbeit der in Berlin lebenden Künstlerin öffnet sowohl sinnliche als auch soziale Räume. Mit ihrer Arbeit und der Idee des gemeinsamen Speisens will sie Distanzen aufbrechen und Raum für Dialog ermöglichen. Welche Geschickten erzählt uns das Essen, das wir essen? Das Geschirr, die Textilien, der Tisch von dem wir speisen? Welche kollektiven Erinnerungen weckt Essen in uns?

On 30 October, the last Ruine in the Companion series will take place. We would like to invite you to this event!
The Ruine will begin at 4.58pm, with dusk, and will last until midnight. It will take place in the bellies of those present, the Companion is Digestion. The exact meeting place and password will be announced at a later time.
We have invited Paula Erstmann, whose work is situated somewhere between art, design and cooking. Paula will prepare the following (vegetarian) menu for this occasion:

The individual courses will structure the evening, defined by various gestures, strategies and figures of hospitality. Throughout Ruine München Companions hospitality has played an important roll, and on this evening it will take centre stage.
In order to reserve a place, please register by Friday, 20 October, stating your telephone number. Please note that the evening is planned as a continuous work. It is therefore important that all guests arrive together. Participation is limited and only possible with registration.

Paula Erstmann is an artist working predominantly with edibles as her artistic medium to create a sense of community and stimulate a dialogue between people. There are numerous performative gestures in the everyday rituals of eating. Most of them are so familiar that one hardly notices or questions them anymore. Paula's performances, menus and food installations explore the social contexts of the foods she uses and their characteristic qualities. The culinary work of the Berlin-based artist are research works between art and the everyday: they re- and decontextualize codes that we associate with the act of eating, specific ingredients, or a sense of taste. They open sensual as well as social spaces to generate social experiences. And above all, they encourage the perception of food (and its presentation) as an aesthetic and resonant medium of communication, rethinking its possibilities.
