Ruine München Companions

Ruine München Companions erzählt von Beziehungsgeflechten an sieben Orten, von dort gleichzeitig anwesenden sichtbaren und unsichtbaren, gewachsenen und konstruierten, notwendigen und gewollten, belasteten, beängstigenden und vertrauten Verbindungen. Die Verbindungen reichen 100 Jahre in die Vergangenheit, eine Million Jahre in die Zukunft, zurück in die 1970er, bis weit vor jede Zeitrechnung, und wieder ins Hier und Jetzt.

Mal in der Rolle der Gastgeber*innen, mal als Eingeladene entsteht zusammen mit lokalen und internationalen Künstler*innen, Wissenschaftler*innen und nicht-menschlichen Companions eine lückenhafte Karte der tatsächlichen, behaupteten und möglichen Ruinen dieser Stadt.

Ruine München Companions ist ein Projekt der Künstler*innen Maria VMier, Jan Erbelding und Leo Heinik, mit Unterstützung von Georgia Kaw und Jakob Braito. Ruine München Companions findet von Juni bis Oktober 2023 statt.

Ruine München Companions unfolds as networks of relationships across seven locations, visible and invisible, grown and constructed, necessary and wanted, burdened, frightening and familiar connections all present at the same time. Connections that reach 100 years into the past, a million years into the future, back to the 1970s, far before any reckoning of time, and back to the here and now.

Sometimes as hosts, sometimes as invitees, Ruine München creates a sketchy map of the actual, supposed, and potential ruins of the city together with local and international artists, scientists and non-human companions.

Ruine München Companions is a project by artists Maria VMier, Jan Erbelding and Leo Heinik, with the support of Georgia Kaw and Jakob Braito. Ruine München Companions will take place from June to October 2023.
